FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HOUSTON, May 8, 2020 – Thought Leaders, Inc. announced today the closing of the first stage of its phased CTH acquisition. CTH developed the patent pending QUB (pronounced “cube”) Heat-not-Burn (“HnB”) device.
“These funds will enable CTH to build pre-market prototypes that can be used to scientifically evaluate the chemical profile and biological activity of aerosols generated with our new HnB. We will also be able to compare our data with traditional combustion products and other HnB products,” said Yuval Malka, CTH’s co-founder and CEO. “Additionally, the funding will be used to further advance the QUB, as well as deliver commercial-ready products for consumer trials in market tests.”
HnB devices are specially designed to heat without combustion, fire, ash, or smoke. HnB generates a flavorful vapor, releasing true cannabis or tobacco taste. This more desirable sensory experience lasts about six minutes or 15 puffs, comparable to that of a pre rolled cannabis or tobacco cigarette.
Since there is no burning, the levels of harmful chemicals are significantly reduced compared to cannabis or cigarette smoke. Studies suggest that HnB systems have the potential to present less risk of harm compared to combustible smoking products.
The QUB’s heating element is located inside of the disposable consumable, instead of permanently inside the device. This design and process improvement mitigates sensory experience deterioration caused by heater overuse. “The QUB is hassle-free. It does not have to be cleaned, since the heater is replaced with each new consumable,” added Greg Kunin, CTH’s co-founder and Chief Product Officer.
“We believe the QUB has the potential to disrupt both the cannabis and tobacco markets,” noted Mark Singleton, Thought Leaders’ President and CEO. “More importantly, CTH’s strategy is focused on key cost-to-manufacture, scalability, and time-to-market concerns that impact success and related profit potential.”
According to Yuval Malka, "Many seek to capitalize on the immense potential of the cannabis market, but few have the expertise required to deliver long-term success. Thought Leaders have significantly enhanced our regulatory, legal and commercial capabilities and we feel confident in our ability to succeed."
CTH, Ltd., located in Ness-Ziona, Israel, was founded by Yuval Malka, Greg Kunin, and Zak Portnoy, three former senior research and development managers from Altria Israel, and by Laser Modeling Israel business executive and entrepreneur, Arie Kalo.
CTH’s vision is to redefine the way people use cannabis products. Its mission is to develop the best cannabis delivery systems in the world.
Thought Leaders, Inc. is boldly focused on becoming the world’s most innovative and trusted cannabis company.
